JOB DESCRIPTION:
Staff Engineer, Software Test
Job Description The software test lead engineer will lead a small test group, oversee the testing activates, and ensure the proper test coverage. The responsibilities also include
Test planning; develop test cases, test execution, user documentation review, bug tracking and verification.
Conduct black box, regression, exploratory, and ad hoc testing on the high throughput DNA sequencing instrument and in simulated environments.
Work proactively with staff to determine the best strategy for project test coverage.
Communicate test status, progress, problems and changes to team lead as well as functional management.
Recommend options to resolve testing issues.
Required skills:
* Must have 5 years of experience in software test
* Highly detail oriented to work in a very fast paced environment.
* The candidate must be well-versed in all phases of software testing, including
functional testing, system testing, regression testing and performance testing.
* Be able to lead, mentor and work with junior test engineers locally and remotely.
* Experience with Linux
Education:
BS degree or equivalent required.
