JOB DESCRIPTION:
Student Loan Specialist
Everest College Online - Tempe, AZ

Job Summary:
Acts as the default expert at the campus. Works with the Campus Support Center Financial Aid department to accomplish CCi default goals.
Job Responsibilities:
* Comply with procedures to initiate contact with graduated and withdrawn students regarding their Federal Student Loan status, including but not limited to:
1. Review the basic borrower rights and responsibilities under the Federal Loan Program, including the six month grace period;
2. Identify and present options including repayment plans, deferments and forbearances as it relates to individual circumstances;
3. Acts as liaison between borrowers and third-parties such as loan servicers and the Department of Education to facilitate timely resolutions for at-risk borrowers; further, to facilitate resolutions for delinquent borrowers in danger of defaulting;
4. Work collaboratively across departments on campus and online to present borrowers with a clear picture of their options regarding reenrollment.
* Responsible for implementing and/or coordinating and communicating financial literacy programs on campus and online students.
* Responsible for implementing and/or coordinating and communicating Entrance and Exit Loan Counseling processes on campus and online students.
* Conduct in person group sessions for students.
* Provide feedback to Campus Support Center Financial Aid department on effectiveness of materials.
Requirements
* Understanding of Title IV Loan Programs.
* Ability to work varied hours; days, nights and weekends.
* Possess excellent customer service skills.
* Possess outstanding written and oral communication skills.
* Public speaking skills a must.
* Excellent Presentation skills.
* Excellent written skills.
* This position reports to Director of Finance or Regional Director of Finance.
* Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment that requires normal safety precautions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
* Job involves sitting most of the time; walking, lifting, bending, standing etc. may be minimally required.
* Travel - Occasionally – up to 25% of the time.
