The successful Sales Representative is responsible for selling products and services through networking and sales activities outside of the normal place of business while maintaining an existing customer base in addition to generating new business. A majority of this position involves up-selling and cross-selling abstract and title products as well as other industry related services available through the First American family of companies.

Additional responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Selling Title, Escrow, Credit Reporting, Flood Certifications, Appraisal and/or Data to Realtors and residential mortgage lenders.
• Compiling lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
• Traveling throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders by phone.
• Displaying or demonstrating product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizing salable features.
• Estimating date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
• Preparing reports of business transactions and tracking expense accounts.
• Working with Realtors and Account Managers to keep account activities and literature up to date.
• Coordinating customer training.
• Entering new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
• Investigating and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
• Attending trade shows.
Job Qualifications • Bilingual (Korean) is required.
• BA/BS Degree is preferred.
• Ability to self-start combined with a high energy level.
• Ability to communicate and resolve interpersonal conflict.
• Enthusiasm to and for customers.
• Ability to demonstrate products and services.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and escrow related software.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
