About the Senior Contracts Manager Position
The Senior Contracts Manager within Deloitte Consulting LLP's Quality Risk Management group will act as the primary liaison between the Principals, Directors and Senior Managers of the organization and our Office of General Counsel to negotiate and manage multiple large scale, complex, professional services contracts within the State and Local Markets. The ideal candidate will have extensive contract management experience specializing within the State and Local or commercial markets.
Responsibilities Include:
* Providing guidance and support to senior business leaders within the organization * Providing post- award contract support with a focus on ensuring contract compliance. * Reviewing contract correspondence, monitoring scope, issuing and managing change orders as applicable. * Summarizing, communicating and ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract and compliance with designated management objectives. * Assisting project teams in organizing, managing, and documenting compliance with contract requirements on a regular basis. * Reviewing requests for proposals and teaming agreements * Understanding and communicating key contractual requirements and obligations * Conducting reviews and editing key sections of proposals dealing with contract commitments * Assisting project teams in identifying, proposing and negotiating change orders with a primary focus on reducing and mitigating contractual risks associated with the services being provided * Assisting in subcontract negotiations as necessary, including flow down of applicable prime contract provisions. * Analyzing and assessing potential impacts associated with contractual disputes and assisting in negotiations with clients to resolve disputes
Education: Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degree a plus
Work Location: Location Flexible
Travel Requirements: Candidates must be willing to travel up to 80%
Experience Qualifications:
* 10 years minimum direct contract management experience specializing within the State and Local or commercial markets * 8 years minimum experience with contract negotiations * 10 years minimum experience working directly with senior level executives
Required Skills:
* Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Relevant Business Skills:
* Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to evaluate risks associated with large professional service deals * Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding, deadline-driven environment * Proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time * Self-motivated and able to work autonomously * Experience in a consulting partnership desirable
